Chic Ways to Wear Red, White, & Blue for July 4th

Chic Ways to Wear Red, White, & Blue for July 4th

By Elaine Tu

Show your patriotism by rocking red, white and blue in your 4th of July outfits! We know you’re invited to a bunch of Independence Day shindigs, so why not dress for the occasion, and rock US colors in style.

July 4th Pool Party or Beach Day Outfits

Nothing screams Independence like red does, and for July 4th a red swimsuit is the way to go. Don’t worry—if red isn’t your thing, try a cute white bikini or even one with red, white & blue! After all, you can never be TOO festive, right?

With a red bikini or monokini, pair with cute cutoff shorts and red sandals to play up the whole vibe. We also love throwing on white tie front tops that barely cover the red so whether you’re covered up or baring it all, your red, white & blue swag is always present.

With a white bikini or one piece swimsuit, try mixing up chic red stripes, blue stripes, and solid red tops. We’re also loving the look of a cutout romper with festive red & white star print or blue with white polka dots for a cute swim coverup!

Grillin’ Out

One of our fave things to do on the United States’ birthday is grill out with our best friends and family, dancing to some feel-good music, and hanging out for fireworks late into the night. For these occasions, it’s best to stick to what’s comfortable for you! July 4th can reach extremely high temps, but we can beat the heat in festive crop tops and shorts, matching two-piece sets, dresses or rompers!

Our fave patriotic looks include tons of denim, red & white striped outfits, navy tops & bottoms, and even patriotic dresses that you can totally wear beyond Independence Day. This summer, don’t be afraid to show a little skin and celebrate the 4th of July in red, white & blue style!

Firework Concert

Depending on where you live, there might be a concert happening nearby on July 4th that you might choose to go to! In this case, there is no reason for you not to dress as festive as possible. Concert outfits can be dressed down, but it’s a holiday! We love slightly more dressed up options for special events like these. Plus, you’ll prob be taking major OOTD’s for the ‘gram! Make your outfit choices totally IG-worthy and keep eyes on you.

Red

Be that lady in red. You know, bold and attention-grabbing without looking like you tried. A red number can speak volumes without doing too much. Wear red pieces with denim and white sneakers or white booties (so trendy!), or do a statement-making all-red outfit with sprinkles of blue & white in accessories or shoes.

The all red trend took us through fall & winter, but we’re not stopping there. A little biased here, but red is the ultimate attention grabber, and not to mention super on trend! People won’t be able to keep their eyes and awe off you. Dress in all red bodysuits, t-shirts, stylish sundresses and sexy chambray outfits.

White

Wearing all white is the oh-so-chic take that never fails. It’s the shade that compliments bold accessories and shoes sooo well. Got those red shoes you’ve been wanting to wear? Pair them with an all-white outfit and you’re good to go. But a fair warning, be wary of your whites if you’re attending a BBQ (ketchup is your enemy), or if you’re going to be sitting in any grassy or dirt-ridden areas!

Blue

Navy blue is so underplayed in the summer. It can feel too preppy at times or even too nautical. Nothing wrong with those looks, but if you’re looking for something more, well, YOU—keep in mind that accessories and denim are your best friends! Do an all-denim look with pops of red and white like a Canadian tuxedo (denim jacket with jean shorts or other denim bottoms) or do a navy blue dress or romper with white patterns all over. Navy blue pieces like these are super versatile—you’ll be able to transition to fall & winter with ease.

Have a Star-Spangled Party in the USA! ??✌️
