It’s officially spring season! Buuuuut… it’s currently drizzling in LA.
OK, so not the perfect 70 degree and mini skirt weather we imagined, but still! We’re all about a brand new season and the opportunities it brings to us – spring cleaning that’s been long overdue, future vacay planning, festival going, adapting new skincare routines, & trying new things especially when it comes to our style (but seasonal allergies can stay far away)!
So you wanna know the deets?! As the seasons change, we’re still seeing hints of lace up styles we love to re-wear over and over and over again year after year. To get you in the loop, this sexy style still makes a big difference in the details of our favorite joggers, spring tops, going out heels & booties as seen on the all star girl squad we all know. The key is to wear the lace up trend in ways you never would have. See, this ‘try new things’ thing ain’t so bad right?
But seriously! Spring season is about growth, welcoming change, and certainly reinventing your wardrobe. Fact is, we could all use a lace up pick-me-up every once in awhile.
So hey, it may be rainy now but don’t forget that spring showers bring may flowers.
During this spring transition, these short lived cloudy days may have you feelin’ a bit lazy and not as excited to show off those bright spring prints we all know and love just yet. So hello athleisure wear! And yup, we totally get it – make your (super) off duty look extra cool and even more chic in a monochromatic outfit like Hailey Baldwin and Gigi Hadid that’ll look put together even when we spent hours binging that season of Friends on the couch.
Confession: showing off some leg isn’t the only thing we want to show off all season. So when we’ve got spring on our minds, we wanna rock all the mini skirts, booty shorts, and pants! With floral print overload, you can edge up your bottoms with lace up details off to the side like Kendall Jenner in fresh whites or Bella Hadid pairing it with spring’s most wanted plaid.
Beyonce told us to put our lace on top. Oh right, wrong song! But you CAN get your lace on top looks ready in long sleeve lace up arm details as seen on Oliva Palermo’s street style at Milan Fashion Week last month and on the v-neck in this season’s canadian tuxedo get-up pulled off by Emily Ratajkowski that’ll get you right in the spring spirit.
Classic denim is certainly the fabric of our lives and sometimes we like to reinvent it in new ways every once in awhile. Duh, it’s spring! Jeans, jean jacket, denim dresses and jumpsuits like this one worn by Leona Lewis have the special lace up details that will carry you through summer. As seen on the queen of lace up once again, Bella Hadid wears her lace up denim with eye poppping red details.
We were strutting in thigh high lace up booties all fall and winter long. For spring season though, it’s all about lace up sandals for festival season and mid calf booties seen on both the Kardashian sisters for the perfect going out look in between bar hopping and the club.
With spring formals and weddings quickly to come, we can’t help but reach for the next breathable silhouette our bodies will thank us for later like Kate Bosworth and her unforgettable lace up details at the neck. When you’re not going out to the club and would rather enjoy a sweet spring day (very ideal), ditch the old bandage lace up dress and opt for an off shoulder corset dress seen all over a fave fashion bloggers and Kendall Jenner.
You can even upgrade this season’s feminine lace dress with edgy lace up details – we didn’t think a perfect combo like that ever existed until now.
Spring in LA is bound to get HOT. So when you’re lounging on your unicorn floatie at your next pool party, you can keep your girls extra tidy in lace up details on the bikini top like Rosie Huntington-Whiteley or add some spice to a monokini with front details like Kourtney K and some of our fave side lace up deets.
