10 Chic Looks Dominating NYFW Right Now

Hey fashion week!

Yeah, you.

We know all your secrets and we’re telling the whole world about you.

We’re inspired by this cultural phenomenon that happens every year in New York because behind the scenes, it takes a lot of vulnerability and hard work to show off the art you’ve been conceptualizing, creating, and designing months before to express into one cohesive collection on the catwalk.

No NYFW expertise required, anyone these days can be in the know about everything going on in fashion week right this second. You don’t need to be an “it” girl, know someone that knows someone that knows someone, or have a backstage pass to these glamorous NYFW events and designer shows.

What once used to be insider exclusive only is now just free fashion #inspo for the masses.

All you need is a screen and a good internet connection (these are just life essentials, TBH) and your front row to fashion week is that easy!

There’s so many resources at our fingertips that we’re exposed to on the daily – the exciting live experience of the runway shows on the official New York Fashion Week website (NYFW.com), show highlights from these designer brands on social media with emphasis on IG live, and content coverage of NYFW from your favorite fashion/beauty bloggers.

Believe us, digital fashion is everywhere and we are SO entertained.

So back to the fashion week looks. A lot of designers are catching on to “Ready to Wear” collections that are available right now, but even if you’re not entirely obsessed with these looks at the moment, you’ll be able to enjoy these fashion trends as they come along in the Spring season.

But what can we say? We always like to be prepared.

Here are some of the latest looks that are happening right NOW at New York Fashion Week!

BROCK COLLECTION

We’re talkin’ chic. In a mix of head to toe floral and stripe looks we loved, we couldn’t help but love florals for spring even more when these two prints merged together. Groundbreaking, foreal this time.

TADASHI SHOJI

Off shoulders, cold shoulders, lace, florals, stripes, ruffles!? These Malibu inspired gowns were beautiful but nothing new nonetheless. At a turning point, the runway  finished off with unexpected celestial lace that was a crowd pleaser for the front row of young starlets.

CAROLINA HERRERA

Two toned looks mixed with confetti style prints were so refreshing to see from this celebrity loved red carpet designer. Purple gingham print opened the show with pops of vibrant yellows that we predict will be the color of Spring.

CALVIN KLEIN

Like mother, like daughter. Kaia Gerber followed her mom’s footsteps in her first runway debut with the designer that helped launch Cindy Crawford’s career in the 90’s – it’s no doubt that this New York bred brand will always remain appreciated by younger generations. Calvin Klein’s newest Spring collection by urban designer Raf Simmons, gave us a walk through of elevated deep tones in patent and looks inspired by horror films like Carrie and pop culture icons like Andy Warhol.

FENTY X PUMA

Good girl gone fashion week. Riri has always had a thing for taking risks and we hope that never changes. We are loving these badass motocross inspired looks featuring deep purple, bright neons combos, and quite possibly the most Rihanna pair of boots we’ve ever seen.

JEREMY SCOTT

A wrecking ball of sorts in the traditional world of fashion, Jeremy Scott is a pioneer of what it actually means to play dress up – all of his garments are designed to make you happy.

KITH

Calling all sporty spices. New York based Kith made its wave originally as a men’s fashion streetwear brand loved by sneakerheads. When he teamed up with now creative director and street style “it” girl Emily Oberg, Kith Women took on a new direction to enjoy athleisure. Two words? Super cool.

ULLA JOHNSON

We imagine these models were floating on the runway in these light ethereal gowns and oversized hoodies made with sheer organza.

PRABAL GURUNG

A show that opens with Gigi and ends with Bella Hadid is sure to keep your attention. We’ve been obsessing over patent leather, everything lately. So what’s one more? A patent leather trench coat is on our list.
